Your new home is all set, and you can’t wait to move in. You excitedly arrange for the transportation of your furniture and belongings. However, suddenly, the entire house is in a mess—there’s no effective way to organize things at all, and everyone feels frustrated.
Does this sound familiar? This is a common scenario when moving, but it doesn’t mean there’s no way to make the process easier and more efficient.
Storage racks are just as important as the furniture itself. After all, your daily necessities need a place to be stored even before the furniture is set up. Extra accessories shouldn’t be piled up randomly either. Besides, after unpacking electronic devices and various new gadgets you’ve bought, you also need a place to store their packaging boxes so that you can keep them properly during the warranty period!
Second tip: Place heavy items on the bottom shelf and infrequently used items on the top shelf. This way, the middle shelf can be used for frequently used items, eliminating the need to constantly bend down or stand on tiptoes. For safety reasons, it is highly recommended to place heavy items on the bottom shelf as much as possible—firstly to prevent the items above from being crushed, and secondly to lower the center of gravity of the rack.
#3 Choose storage racks with metal shelves. As we all know, Singapore has a hot and humid climate, which can easily cause wood to rot. Over time, wooden shelves may age or even collapse, while metal shelves allow you to use them with peace of mind for a long time. Additionally, metal is fire-resistant!
#4 Keep the shelf height adjustable. Your favorite items come in different shapes and sizes. To store all of them, adjusting the shelf height is essential. Therefore, our last storage tip is: opt for a bolt-free design and ensure that the shelf height can be easily adjusted to match your practical operation ability.
