Recently, we at Miaona Home Furnishings Co., Ltd. had the pleasure of helping Nancy and Steve renovate their kitchen as part of their overall home renovation project. They loved the layout of their existing kitchen and didn’t want to replace the cabinets entirely. Instead, they aimed to make the storage space more practical, organized, and accessible—and that’s where our custom pull-out shelves came into play.
If you’re renovating your kitchen or simply looking for clever ways to enhance your current space, custom pull-out shelves offer a simple yet highly effective upgrade. Whether you’re tired of bending over to rummage through pots and pans or dreaming of a more organized pantry, these solutions help you maximize every inch of your existing space.
Bring Harmony to Every Cabinet
In this project, our team installed pull-out shelves in every lower cabinet of Nancy and Steve’s kitchen. No more bending down to reach items at the back of the cabinet or pulling out the entire contents just to grab a pot. Now, with a gentle pull, everything slides smoothly into view. This upgrade not only boosts functionality but also makes cooking and cleaning a breeze.
Nancy shared, “I can’t help but smile every time I walk into my kitchen now.” That’s the joy and ease we strive to bring to our customers.
Smarter Corner Cabinet Solutions
Like many households, their kitchen corners featured two lazy Susans—those rotating shelves that waste space and make it hard to find what you need. We replaced both with front-loading pull-out shelves, creating three full-depth shelves in each corner cabinet. These pull-outs offer far more usable space than the old fan-shaped lazy Susans.
The difference was so striking that Nancy said, “When people come over, they’re amazed by how much space the corner cabinets have now.”
Maximize Every Inch Under the Sink
We installed a custom pull-out storage cabinet under the kitchen sink to hold cleaning supplies and the trash can, making it easy to access items that were once hard to reach under the sink. No more fumbling around pipes or knocking over bottles just to grab dish soap.
To keep the countertop tidy, we also added flip-top trays in front of the sink—one on the left and one on the right. These slim trays are perfect for storing sponges and scouring pads, keeping them organized and within easy reach.
Tailored Storage for Unique Spaces
Nancy and Steve’s built-in stove left empty space underneath, an area often overlooked or underutilized. We transformed this spot into a divided storage bin for vertically storing baking sheets, cutting boards, and trays. Next to it, we added a full pull-out shelf, and even squeezed a narrow pull-out drawer at the top—proving that every inch counts in smart storage design.
Full-Width Access for Every Cabinet
Another challenge was the cabinets with center stiles—vertical dividers between two doors. These stiles limit the size of items you can store and make it inconvenient to access the full width of the cabinet.
We solved this by moving the door hinges to the left cabinet door, freeing up the entire width of the cabinet for custom pull-out shelves. Now, Nancy and Steve can access every lower cabinet unobstructed, even those in their tall pantry. The pantry now features adjustable full-width pull-out shelves that can be moved up or down to accommodate changing storage needs.
