The 137th Canton Fair"Blockbuster Products" Hold the Secret of China's Foreign Trade, as Global Merchants Cross the Sea to Arrive

From April 15 to May 5, 2025, the 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) successfully concluded in Guangzhou.


As the "barometer" and "vane" of China's foreign trade, this session of the Canton Fair attracted 224,000 overseas purchasers from 219 countries and regions worldwide, setting a new historical high for the same period.


From intelligent toys to coffee-making robots, from service robotic arms to 3D-printed ceramics, Made in China once again demonstrated to the world its strong industrial chain resilience, technological innovation capabilities, and market attractiveness.

I. Why is the Canton Fair Still a "Must-Choice" for Global Purchasers?

Since its establishment in 1957, the Canton Fair has weathered 68 years and remained a crucial window for China's opening-up. Despite changes in the global economic landscape and intensified trade frictions in recent years, this session of the Canton Fair still delivered a remarkable performance:


  • The number of overseas purchasers increased by 12.3% year on year, and the intended order amount grew beyond expectations.


Behind this lies the irreplaceable position of Made in China in the global supply chain. Neither tariff barriers in the U.S. market nor green trade barriers in the European market have been able to dampen international buyers' enthusiasm for Chinese products.


A purchaser from Germany stated:


"China's supply chain response speed, cost advantages, and innovation capabilities remain the best global choice."

    In the toy exhibition area, an intelligent plush toy integrating AI voice interaction and LED dynamic expressions has become the focus.


    It can not only converse with children but also sense emotional changes through built-in sensors and adjust interaction modes accordingly.


    "Although the U.S. market has imposed high tariffs on Chinese toys, our products are still in short supply," said an exhibitor. "Because our products are not just toys but companion-type AI partners. This kind of innovation makes it difficult for competitors to imitate."
